The aluminum radiator install worked out pretty well, but presented a challenge or two.
I decided to go with the 19 x 26" griffin radiator.
Actually, I got the Summit Radiator, and if I had to do it again, I think I could have
actually gone up to the 29" without too much more hassle. |

This 'Front Axle Knuckle Grease Change' is typical preventative maintanence that all Land Cruiser
owners need to do especially if their LC is used offroad in mud and water. Disassembly of the
front axle, removal and replacing of the contaminated grease and reassembly of the axle
components is an easy but messy job. |

This is a photo of a very simple reinforcement that can be welded on to the front spring hanger
for the rear spring. It significantly strenghtens that mounting point, and can keep your spring
hanger from ripping out of the frame and letting your rear axle slide backwards on one side,
which is NOT a good thing! If anyone's got questions about the process, e-mail me
here. It definitely should be done BEFORE you have troubles
in that area. |

Greg's wondering why that crossmember isn't where it should be and what about that transfer case,
Greg?
"...the log up ahead was about frame high...and I was tired of babying our 40...no biggy,
nothing to it. WRONG!
The rear tires didn't even get a chance to bump the log."
"It's hard to describe the feeling one has when you look under your rig and see things that just
aren't right. It's kind of unreal...you know how it happened but you just can't frame it with
normal events."
