B. The Colorado, San Juan Mtns Trip 1. The trip is scheduled for the first week in August. Lance will be getting out information to everyone to let them know the details. C. Mrs. Van Tuyle (Bret and Lance's mother) pasted away this month. 1. Bret thanked the club for sending flowers to the funeral. This was done by the BOD without Bret's or Lance's knowledge.
2. Jody Potter made the suggestion that the club make a donation, in memorial of Mrs. Van Tuyle, to her favorite charity. Bret and Lance will let us know what that charity is at the next meeting and the club can vote on it.
D. Future Trail Runs 1. It was asked if the club was going to have any summer runs that would be closer to home. It was pointed out that, it would be nice to have some events closer to home because not every member has the time or budget for something like the Colorado trip. In the past the club has left the summers free of events to allow our members to take family vacations or attend a TLCA event. Lance said that a lot of the weekend wheeling that the Lonestar does, not officially organized by the club, is were some members contact each other for an impromptu day or weekend of wheeling. So maybe we need to try to get members to do this. Also, with our club growing, we may need to try to have some club organized events in the summer. E. The Club's Web Site Members Page. 1. There had been some discussion, via E-mails, over the Internet about our club's "Members" page. The issue was that some members weren't listed there and they wanted to know why. The members asking this were not in attendance and the issue was brought up by Kevin Yeager to get member input for possible changes to the "Members" page. Kevin said that the "Members" page had been set up from the start as a photo directory and that if someone didn't send in a photo, of their 4x4, then they weren't listed. But with the recent Internet discussion, maybe we should add a complete members list to the page. No one at the meeting had any objections to the way the "Members" page is now or to making changes to it. So a vote was taken to defer the decision, of making changes to the "members" page, to the BOD. The vote was unanimous, in favor of deferring and the meeting was adjourned.
