"Buddy" — 1972 FJ40

.

I have owned "Buddy" my 1972 FJ40 since the summer of 1999 when I brought him back from Grants, NM off a small car lot there. Buddy was in serious need of some TLC. He had been neglected and I have subsequently gone through every major system and repaired or replaced it all except for the electrical wiring. How that managed to escape the previous owner I'll never know. I truly believe the PO of Buddy was a gorilla with a monkey wrench and a screwdriver for tools. It has truly been a labor of love to bring Buddy to the level of repair he has today. There's some rust in all the usual places but that's gonna be gone by the summer of 2002 as I'm doing all the body work and paint this winter. .
