Hot Dog — 1973 FJ40 We've owned our FJ40 for 13 years. Still has the engine it left the factory with... But it was rebuilt at 160,000 miles. At that time the head was milled for more compression, RV style cam installed.

Body is 73 cowl forward, 78 in back. Family style cage. Red bedliner inside. Rear seat from a bus. Rear drop down tailgate made from diamond plate aluminum. Rockers have been bobbed, 2 inch angle iron installed. Has a 20 pound Co2 bottle for airing tires. Tires are now 34x10.50 15 Swampers front and 33x12.50 15 Swampers rear. Rear tire carrier has been modified to also carry a 5 gal. gas can and an ice chest.

Warn Cable control winch. Hi Lift jack mounted to front bumper. Also a 20 foot log chain and shovel are carried on front. Rear tail lights are oval Trucklights mounted in rear cross member. Carries many spare parts. And survival gear.
