1975 FJ40 — It all started with a phone call from my son in Denver. A friend of his knew of a '75 FJ40 that was a one owner with 56K miles, and had been in storage for 10 years. $1,200 later, I had the start of what you see here.

.

The '94 motor is a 280hp Alumimum Head LT1 with a 4L60E 4sp. Auto.
Some other mods include:
Custom Roll Cage
York Air Compressor
Rear ARB Locker
Vintage Air AC
Cruise Control
Power Steering
Mini Truck Front Disc Brakes
Custom Rear Tire
& Gas Can Rack

Gets about 15mpg, I think it could do better, but I have yet to make it through a tank of gas without putting my foot into it at least half a dozen times. (What do you expect - only been on the road 4 years).

. . . Since I got it on the road, we've been to Clayton, OK, Colorado, Cruise Moab, and I drove it 3,400 miles round trip to the 2001 Rubithon. After all, what better way to spend your kids inheritance than building a Land Cruiser, and if there's any left, spending that attending 4 Wheeling events around the country.
