CLAYTON, OK     ... Poker Run 2004 - Part II
With his approach angle clear in his head, Gary Don takes over the controls of his FJ40 and pilots it up the ledge as Randy Underwood looks on in amazement.

Part I

"TSOB" was the toughest trail our group tackled that day. After that we went to the east side of the park to see what kind of trouble we could get ourselves into over there.

Jody Potter waits at the top of "TSOB" while Gary Don gives it some throttle to climb up the near-impossible rock ledge.

Robert Waters guides his FJ40 through a narrow,
rocky trail while the others follow behind.

Wild rock formations were in several different areas throughout the park. This one has a unique design embedded in it.

The folks at Castaway cabins were generous enough to let us use their newly remodeled 8-person cabin for the raffle.
What a great place!! At dusk, everyone was ready to head back to the cabins, where we were to raffle-off a Ramsey Patriot 9500 winch, and claim our other prizes with our poker hands we collected throughout the day.

Club president Bret Van Tuyle walked away from the raffle with the brand new Ramsey 9500 Patriot winch. The winch was raffled away while there was plenty of other Snap-On goodies for everyone to pick from with their winning poker hands.

We finished the day by watching Randy Underwoods video of August 2003's San Juan Land Cruiser event held in the San Juan Mountains in Silverton, Colorado. That was an awesome trip and is being repeated again this year in early August.

That wrapped up another successful Winter Poker Run for the Green Country Cruisers! The next day, most of us stayed for a while of some mild wheeling up Crum Creek and in search for the "caves" up there somewhere. We never did find the caves, but found some awesome backcountry trails and did some great "exploring". If we had more time, we would have tried to go up McKinley Rock via the old Kiamichi Trail, but that will have to wait 'til a later adventure!!!
'Til Then... Cruise On!!
